Commercial Overview

The D.R. Kidd Commercial Roofing Division is best known for its metal roofing and cladding capabilities, however, D.R. Kidd installs all types of roofs including single ply, built-up, tile, modified and many others. D.R. Kidd’s metal roofing and cladding work has been installed on many award winning projects including the Bob Bullock Texas State History Museum copper dome roof, the Austin City Hall copper roof and cladding system, the Arkansas 300 3rd Condominiums copper cladding shingles, and the aluminum metal shingles on the AMLI II Condominiums and the Long Center for the Performing Arts.

Commercial Roof Panels

Because D.R. Kidd was constantly being asked to install aluminum composite panels, we made a decision in 2004 to start a new division called Architectural Panel Forming, Co. (APF) to begin fabricating our own composite panels. Controlling the fabrication has been very beneficial to D.R. Kidd’s customers, especially when buildings are not perfectly square and we can measure and fabricate the panels locally to fit without waiting on shipments from other suppliers. This has helped to minimize delays in construction. D.R. Kidd has its own metal panel forming machines and a large metal fabrication shop. D.R. Kidd is a certified installer of MBCI, Petersen, Berridge, Overly, DURALOC, and Centria metal roof systems.

Kidd Company, Inc. is 20 year NDL certified by Johns Manville, U.S. Intec, Carlisle, Tamko, Stevens Roof Systems, GAF, Certainteed, Polyglass, Soprema, Firestone, Duro-Last, American Hydrotech, Derbigum and Garland. Whether it’s the TPO roofs at Austin’s AMD Lonestar or the University of Texas Disch-Falk Field, the PVC roof at U.T. Dell Pediatrics, or the tile roof at the University of Texas Blanton Museum, we can handle all types of large projects.
